We caught up with Jerome to talk about the path that led him to Wunderlich-Malec and where he sees himself taking this group.
About Jerome
Jerome is born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and knew from an early age that he wanted to turn his passion for math and science into a career solving challenging problems in engineering. Jerome graduated as an Electrical Engineer from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 2003 and started in Systems Integration as a controls engineer. Jerome started his career focused on the technical side progressing to a Senior Controls Engineer working in various industries including Automotive, Food and Beverage, Consumer Goods, and Life Sciences. He wanted to make a greater impact and started working on the business side as a Project Manager and Client Solutions Manager. While working full-time, Jerome completed his EMBA at Kellogg School of Management in 2019. 2019 was a year of change and was when he joined Wunderlich-Malec moving to Dallas, TX office as their Operations Manager.
These past 4 years Jerome has been integral in the growth and success of the WM Dallas office and has earned the trust of Wunderlich-Malec to open the new Austin, TX office. Jerome’s dream to run his own business unit and the attraction of developing new opportunities in Austin, TX were a big draw to take on this exciting challenge.
We asked Jerome what his plans are for his Business Unit:
“Year one, my goal is to tune in to servicing the specific needs of the Austin, TX market and build a top-notch team of automation engineers to drive long-term success. I’m looking for automation engineers with experience in Semiconductor, Battery EV/ EV, and Data Center automation who are excited in building this Austin office from the ground up. Wunderlich-Malec has a proven track record and entrepreneurial success expanding into new markets over the past 40 years. My vision is for the Austin office to be a leader in innovation and best-in-class solution partner helping our clients to achieve their world-changing goals.”
